Kwara United Football Club stepped up preparations today, Friday with an intensive training session at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, ahead of their decisive NPFL Matchday 33 fixture against El-Kanemi Warriors.
The session, which lasted one hour and thirty minutes, was closely supervised by Coach Ashifat Suleiman. It featured a blend of drilling exercises, stretching routines, and tactical instructions, all aimed at sharpening the team’s readiness for the high-stakes encounter.
The Harmony Boys are expected to conclude their preparations with a final training session on Saturday, as they continue their push to secure crucial points in their bid to avoid relegation.
In a significant morale booster, the Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sports, Chief Anthony Adeboye Adeyinka (Zulu Authority), charged the players to remain focused and determined in their quest to maintain top-flight status.
Having observed Friday’s training, Zulu Authority reaffirmed his commitment to the team, revealing plans to mobilise Kwarans in Lagos to support the club during Sunday’s match.
He disclosed that vehicles will be stationed at strategic locations to convey supporters to the stadium.
“This is our team and we must sustain our league status, hence the need to support them,” he stated.
With both technical preparation and fan support building momentum, Kwara United will be hoping to translate the energy into a positive result on matchday.
