Mallam Attahiru thanks Gov AbdulRazaq, to focus on sports development

The newly reappointed Special Adviser on Sports in Kwara state, Mallam Attahiru Ibrahim has expressed his appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for finding him worthy of position to serve again.

Mallam Attahiru Ibrahim stated this shortly after his reappointment as SA on Sports on Friday.

The Ex-Niger Brass player promised to focus on the youths in the state in order to transform them into sporting icon.

He said, “Thankful to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for finding me worthy to serve as his Special Adviser on Sports again. My promise to the Kwara state athletes; we will reinvent our sporting artistry.

“The development of the young athletes will be my main focus because they have the potentials of becoming stars in the nearest future. The youths dominates a large portion in the sports sector, that means I will work round the clock to see that they are given maximum attention.

Hon Ibrahim commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for approving the rehabilitation of the outdoor handball courts ahead of the National U-19/21 Handball Championship in the state.

The former Patigi Slickers player said, “Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has shown interest in sports the is why he approved the rehabilitation of the handball courts ahead of the National U-19/21 Handball Championship this month.

“Kwara state is the defending Champion of the U-21 Girls Category and it is our wish to retain the trophy”.

He promised to work with stakeholders in the state who are ready to move sports to the next level.
