The Chairman of Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa has charged the players and officials of NA Royal Football Club of Ilemona to take advantage of the platform provided them by the club’s Proprietor, Oba Nurudeen Alowonle, the Elemona of Ilemona.
NA Royal Football Club and House of Prayer Football Club qualified for the NLO Play-offs which has been scheduled for Bwari Stadium in Abuja, between June 18th to 22nd, 2025.
Mallam Idris, popularly known as Thuraya, while receiving the team, led by the General Manager, Mallam Sulaiman Funsho Mohammed in his office today, Wednesday June 11, 2025, commended His Royal Highness, the Elemona.of Ilemona, Oba Nurudeen Alowonle for creating the platform for empowering and engaging the youths through sports.
Thuraya charged the players to appreciate the template granted them by the Royal Father to showcase their talents and rise to stardom, adding that they should reciprocate the gesture by qualifying for the Nigeria National League (NNL).
“I will want to commend His Royal Highness, Oba Nurudeen Alowonle for providing this platform for the youths. For you the players, you have to be disciplined to really take advantage of this opportunity.
“Discipline is crucial, as it will make you to be dedicated and determined. Discipline is about the lifestyle that is tailored towards you achieving personal and collective goals.
“You have to go to Abuja to complete the job you have started here. You must not disappint the Proprietor of the club. If you didn’t do well in Abuja, you have wasted the efforts you put in to qualify for the Play-offs.
He pledged them the support of the Kwara State Football Association, within the laws of the game.
Earlier in his address, the General Manager of the Club, Mallam Funsho pledged that the team will be good representatives of the state in Abuja, even as he called for the support of all.
Also speaking, the Assistant Captain of the Club, Abuchi Paul pledged to do the state and the Proprietor proud in Abuja.
NA Royal will take on state rivals, House of Prayer FC in the first match on June 19th, 2025, and Zeal Mends FC the second day, 20th, 2025, with the third match against Maikunkele United FC fixed for June 22nd, 2025.
