Kwara United Football Club has debunked allegations of sales of right for match tickets for its Matchday 31 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter against visiting Nasarawa United today, Wednesday March 26, 2025 to anybody or group of persons.
According to the Secretary of the Club, Oyewale Obalola, throwing the gates open for Nasarawa United match, as well as the remaining home matches of Kwara United was part of the resolutions reached at the stakeholders meeting held yesterday, Tuesday March 25, 2025, at the Kwara Football Academy.
Obalola added that the decision was arrived at affter the meeting held at the instance of the Executive Chairman of the Sports Commission, Mallam Bola Magaji.
“We have, following the approval of the Executive Chairman, decided to throw the gates open not for today’s match against Nasarawa United alone, but for all the remaining home matches in the season.
“This was part of the resolutions reached after the stakeholders meeting yesterday, and it has been approved.
Obalola, while commending the Executive Chairman for the gesture, which he says, will go a long way in assisting the team in the remaining fixtures, thanked the stakeholders for their support always.
Obalola also commended the state Governor, Malllam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his support to the team.
He enjoined the fans to troop out en masse to support their team in the remaining matches this season, as their support remains crucial to the survival of the team.
The match against Nasarawa United this evening is scheduled to hold at the Rashidi Yekini Main-Bowl of the George Agbazika Innih Stadium, Ilorin beginning from 4pm.
