NSSF election: Lonsdale relies on achievements to ease re-election worries

NSSF Election: Again, General Adeoye wins North Central slot, set to contest for President

Brigadier General Lonsdale Adeoye (Rtd) have emerged zonal representative of the North Central Zone on the board of the Nigeria Shooting Sports Federation (NSSF).

To emerge victorious, General Lonsdale got five out of seven votes from the zone, to leave his opponent, Hassan Abdullahi from Niger with mere two votes.

The election which was conducted at the Shooting Range of the NSSF in Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Package B, Abuja has reconfirmed the belief and trust the members of shooting sport have in the astute administrator.

Recall that the Kogi State born General was last week elected as the North Central representative in Plateau State but the election was annulled by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and another election order to be held in Abuja.

With the zonal representative elections of the NSSF done and dusted today, the coast is clear for the former President, NSSF, General Lonsdale Adeoye to vie for re-election when the Federation’s election hold in Abuja tomorrow, September 30, 2021.

General Lonsdale Adeoye’s four year first term did not only transform shooting, but also made it a viable sport with medal potentials for the country at global competitions.
