Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Board member, Ambassador (Hajia) Rukayat Segilola Alaya has congratulated Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau on his installation as the President of the West African Football Union (Zone B).
In a release which she personally signed, and made available to sportsbash.com.ng, Hajia Alaya described Alhaji Gusau as “a leader who will continue to grow from height to height, because he like lifting others”.
Gusau’s instalment followed the resignation of the Mr. Kurt Edwin
Simeon-Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association, who left the WAFU B number one seat following his election into the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), two months ago.
Gusau has been President of the NFF since 30th September 2022, and was First Vice President of WAFU B before this current elevation.
Hajia Alaya equally commended the Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa for his commitment to the development of the round leather game.
Hajia Alaya, who is the Chairperson, Kwara State FA Football Development Committee as well as Founder and Matron, Abruka Queens FC of Ilorin.
She expressed believe and confidence, that Alhaji Gusau will transform the Regional continental body, and make it more vibrant, and more purposeful, even as she prayed for a successful tenure.
