The Olojoku of Ojoku, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulrazaq Adegboyega Afolabi Iyiolaseni III on Wednesday January 8, 2025, inaugurated Afolabi Babes Football Club of Ojoku, charging them on discipline and dedication.
The ceremony, held at the Palace of Olojoku was also done to officially announce the establishment of Afolabi Babes Football Club of Ojoku.
The Monarch charged the players and coaches to take advantage of the opportunity to be good ambassadors of their family, community and country.
“No pain, no gain. You have to work very hard to ensure you reach and surpass your targets in the trade. I will also want to charge your handlers to coordinate this project well, so that the community and country will benefit.
The trio of Bayour Issah, Jimoh Bashir and Coach Salihu Yusuf also advised the young talents to take their education and football serious, especially taking into consideration the advantages which awaits them should they remain disciplined and determined.
The newly formed football club is dedicated to nurturing young talents within the community and its environs. The mission is to provide a platform for youths to develop their football skills, build their confidence and showcase their talents.
The Head Coach, Ibrahim Wasiu Oluwatoyin (Wastop) commended the Kabiesi, Oba Abdulrazaq Adegboyega Afolabi and the sponsor of the team, Alhaji Lawal Ajadi for creating the platform for the youths.

The key objectives were to nurture local talents to represent the community with pride, provide opportunities for players to participate in trials with established football clubs in Nigeria and abroad, as well as to foster a sense of community and teamwork among our youth.
The ceremony held in presence of Palace Chiefs, who includes Chief Yisa Balogun (Balogun), Chief Kamali Gbadamosi (Mogaji), Amodu Salami (Eesa) and Raheem Mogaji (Mogaji Ayomide).
