The Offa Football Council, in collaboration with Titan Hills, is set to organise a two-day football coaching seminar for grassroots coaches in Kwara State, from October 9 to 10, 2026.

The seminar, which will commence at 10:00 am. daily, will hold at Avalon Hotel, Offa, with renowned Nigerian coach, Aliyu Zubair and Coach Lukman Ijaiya serving as facilitators.

Chairman of the Offa Football Council, Alhaji Azeez Omoluabi said the seminar is part of his efforts to develop grassroots football coaches and improve the quality of coaching at the grassroots level.

Omoluabi explained that particular attention would be given to coaches who have not had the opportunity to attend the National Institute for Sports (NIS) for professional coaching courses.

According to him, the initiative is intended to bridge the knowledge gap among grassroots coaches by providing them with access to experienced and qualified football practitioners without necessarily having to travel far or incur the costs associated with formal courses.

The organisers said participants will benefit from practical and theoretical sessions covering modern coaching methods and other areas relevant to football development.

The seminar is expected to attract grassroots coaches and other football stakeholders from Offa and beyond, with the organisers hoping that the knowledge gained will translate into improved player development and better coaching standards at the grassroots level.

It wouldbe recalled that Omoluabi had emerged as Offa Football Council Chairman in August this year, and this initiative is the first of many programmes he has for football development.
