President Federation Cup: AVM Oluwatoyin motivates Kwara United with N1million

As Kwara United Football Club prepares to step into the field for the semi-final clash of this year’s President Federation Cup competition, AVM Ibrahim Lanre Oluwatoyin has joined the growing list of Kwarans who are motivating the team.

AVM Oluwatoyin, a sports enthusiasts and keen follower of the darling team of Kwara State gave out a cash largesse of N1million to the players ahead of the crucial and all-important match.

The match will kick-off by 4.00pm, at the Main-Bowl of the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, against Enugu based Rangers International.

AVM Oluwatoyin, who breezed into Lagos for the match from his base urged the players and officials to strive to win the encounter, which will see Kwara United reaching the final for the first time in its history.

While handing the cash to the Captain of the Club, Kabir Mohammed, AVM Oluwatoyin pledged additional support should the team reach the final.

He commended the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the State Sports Commission and the management of the team, for their support at sustaining the team.

To get to this stage, Kwara United sent packing Cynosure from Ebonyi State in the Round of 64, and then got the better of Gombe United, Solution FC and Akwa United in the rounds that followed.

On their part, Rangers eliminated former champions Kano Pillars in the Round of 64, as well as Heartland FC, Bendel Insurance and Plateau United in subsequent rounds.

In the other semi-final match, Ikorodu City is taking on the only Nigeria National League (NNL) side in the race, Abakaliki FC, in Abuja. The match started 3.00pm.
