The Hon. Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olalekan Ọlọhungbèbè has called on Kwarans, both at home and abroad, to support United in its bid to once again, make the state proud.
Speaking to sportsbash.com.ng ahead of the final of the 2025 President Federation Cup final in Lagos on Saturday, Dr. Olohungbebe said that the government of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has done more that enough in sports development, and deserves the honour.
“As far as we are concerned as a government, our Governor, Mallam AbdulRazaq knows the value of Sports, and beyond that, he also understands the contributions of sports to what is called development.
“There is no meaningful development when the youths are not involved, and not just youths, but the very productive ones. And to make youths productive, you are to invest in, and encourage sports participation.
“And as far as the Federation Cup is concerned, we are so much passionate and deliberate about it.
“I will therefore, call on all Kwarans to join hands with Governor AbdulRazaq to keep breaking new grounds. It’s a progressive government, and we are looking forward to ensuring that sports is progressing alongside other developments.
“Kwara United is the child of everybody in Kwara state. It belongs to all of us, and there is no well meaning Kwaran that will ignore the contributions of Kwara United to the development of the state.
“Let’s join hands to ensure Kwara United beat Abakaliki FC on Saturday, and bring the trophy back to Kwara.
Kwara United will take on Abakaliki FC in the final on Saturday, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, beginning from 4.00pm.
