The Chairman of Offa Local Government Council, Alhaji Sulaiman Olatunji Ómituntun has approved the transportation of Offa football stakeholders to Lagos, to cheer Kwara United in the final match of the 2025 President Federation Cup.

The final match, which will be between the state’s darling team, Kwara United and Abakaliki FC of Ebonyi, will hold at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, beginning from 4.00pm.

Confirming the development to sportsbash.com.ng, the Chairman of Offa Local Government Football Council, Alhaji Wasiu Bisi Lawal said that an 18-seater bus has been approved to transport the stakeholders to and fro Lagos.

He added that other incentives have also been made available by the Chairman for those travelling to Lagos.

He equally confirmed that the Chairman, Alhaji Sulaiman Olatunji Ómituntun will also be in Lagos to cheer the team to victory.

He said that all hands must be on deck, as Kwara United attempts to break the jinx of the premier cup competition that was introduced in 1945, as Governor’s Cup.

The Chairman, in his message while addressing the stakeholders, charged the team to win the trophy for the state, even as he congratulated them for blazing the trail this time around, against all odds.

Omituntun congratulated the state Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the management, officials and players of the team and Kwara football stakeholders, for the opportunity which he said, the state must not miss.

For the first time in the history of the competition, Kwara State will be playing in the final for the second time, the first time through the defunct Alyuf Salam Rocks, in 1976.
