The 8th edition of Victor Okosun U10 Xmas tournament was declared open this evening, Thursday December 21, 2023, by Rev. Fr. Amos Adu of St. Joseph’s Catholic Cathedral, Ilorin.
In the first game, played at the A-Division Police football field, defending champions, Arsenal Kiddies FA defeated Future Stars 4-0, while Adoration Boys Academy defeated Stainless FA 2-1 in the second game.
The annual Christmas soccer fiesta is being sponsored by a banker, philanthropist, great lover of kiddies football and a devout Catholic, Mr. Victor Okosun.
The competition, which is organized by Coach Soni Ahamioje is to engage and create fun for kids during the festive season.
The three-day soccer tournament will end on Christmas Eve, with gift items given to all the participating teams.
