*Applauds Governor AbdulRazaq’s quality Investment in Sports

Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, representing Kwara North Senatorial District and a proud supporter of Kwara United and sports development, congratulates the club on their historic victory in the 2025 President Federation Cup, describing it as a proud and defining moment for Kwara State.

The Harmony Boys clinched the title on Saturday, 28th June 2025 at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos after a dramatic penalty shootout against Abakaliki FC, capping off an unbeaten run throughout the tournament.

“This victory is a testament to discipline, determination, and excellent leadership. I commend the entire team, management, and coaching staff for making history,” Senator Umar said.

He lauded His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON who was present at the Stadium alongside other prominent Kwarans for his visionary investment in sports, noting that the Governor’s consistent support has reignited a competitive spirit and delivered tangible results.

“The Governor’s commitment to youth and sports development has paid off. This win belongs to every Kwara son and daughter,” he added.

The Senator who has been acknowledged to be a viral supporter of the club throughout the duration of the Competition also acknowledged the overwhelming support from Kwarans at home and abroad, who filled the stadium, followed on TV, radio, and social media, uniting in celebration of the state’s football heroes.

“Our people stood united behind Kwara United. This win reflects the spirit of togetherness that defines us.”

As Kwara United prepares to represent Nigeria at the CAF Confederation Cup, Senator Umar urges them to remain focused and assured them of his continued support.
