Kwara United receives, praises U-12 team for winning Ogbolu tourney

Kwara United Football Club today received the U-12 LaLiga team that won the Dr. Chukwudi Ogbolu Kids Soccer Championship, which was concluded at the ‘A’ Division Police Barrack playing ground, Ilorin, Sunday.

The team defeated Arsenal Kiddies Football Academy 4-0 to win the youth football development competition which was organized by Coach Soni Ahamioje.

The Kwara United FC starlets overwhelmed the Kiddies, who lost numerous goal scoring chances in the first half, but established their goal rout in the second half to prove their worth.

While receiving the team at the Club’s Secretariat, the Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye commended the boys for been great Ambassadors of the club.

He charged the team to remain disciplined, as the club will continue to encourage and ensure their growth, both technically and otherwise.

Titiloye, who also watched the match, praised the standard displayed by the boys, stressing that talents abound in the state.

Coach Ahamioje, who is also the Founder and Technical Director of Arsenal Kiddies FA expressed satisfaction at the performances of all the players whom he said, in their teens, have been showing a great display of soccer artistry.

He added that their future is bright with necessary training and exposure. 

The competition was sponsored by an America-based Medical Doctor cum philanthropist Dr. Chukwudi Ogbolu.
