The business and sporting community at the George Agbazika Innih Stadium Complex in Ilorin have expressed their deep gratitude to Nottingham Forest star, Taiwo Awoniyi after he generously distributed food packages to them on Friday March 14, 2025, through his Foundation.
In a remarkable display of kindness and generosity, Awoniyi, extended his spirit of giving back to his community as the Taiwo Awoniyi Foundation distributed various food items to thousands of people.
The philanthropic effort, which took place in the spirit of Ramadan and Lenten season, brought immense joy and relief to the beneficiaries.
Awoniyi’s Foundation has been at the forefront of providing support to the less privileged in Kwara State, and this latest initiative is a testament to his commitment to giving back to his community.
The Foundation, an outreach initiative established by the Nottingham Forest striker, aims to give back to society.
Items such as rice, noodles, salt, and tomato paste were given to Shop Owners, traders, and workers at the Stadium Complex.
The food distribution exercise was met with widespread acclaim, with beneficiaries praising Awoniyi’s kindness and generosity.
“Taiwo Awoniyi’s kindness is a blessing to us,” said Alhaja Moremi Iya Offa, one of the beneficiaries at the Kwara Stadium Complex. “We pray that God will continue to bless him.”
“We cannot express our gratitude enough to Awoniyi, who has always looked out for us,” said Grace Adeniji, the owner of Shop 36 at the Stadium Complex. She also leads the group of Shop Owners at the stadium.
Commenting on the purpose of the outreach, Okayinka Owolewa, the image maker for the Nottingham Forest star and Super Eagles striker, shared that the Stadium is Awoniyi’s primary constituency.
One of the officials of the Foundation, Suleiman Atunrase, while distributing the items said Awoniyi’s dedication to philanthropy is a shining example of the positive influence that individuals can have on their communities.
“As a role model to many young people, his selfless act is an inspiration to others to follow in his footsteps” He said.
Atunrase thanked all those who volunteered to make the distribution an easy task, even as he prayed that prosperity will be kind to them.
