Sugar Factory Film Studios has concretized plans to construct a photography studio, as a preliminary measure towards training photographers and would-be photographers on the art of photography.

The training arena will be operated in partnership with Abdul Momoh Photography Masterclass.

While receiving Abdul Momoh and his entourage, which included Bayour Issah, Ahmed Abdullah, Mike Adeyemi and Jimoh Bashir in his office yesterday, Thursday 6, 2025, the Managing Director of the Film Factory, Gbenga Titiloye said that the initiative will uplift the standard and quality of photography business in Nigeria.

The team was there to present to him Abdul Momoh Photography Masterclass Ambassadorial Award as an outstanding Film Manager of the Year.

Titiloye, while highlighting some of the breakthroughs and challenges of the Factory so far, commended Kwara Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for creating the platform, which he says, will break many barriers in film making.

“I must commend our Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the initiative, and also thank all those that are making it happen, including but not limited to the First Lady, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu who just approved money for one of our films.

He commended Abdul Momoh for recognising him with an award, and also pledged to partner him in the training of photographers on modern trends in the business.

He also pledged to build and equip a photography studio between now and April, to ensure that the dream is realised.

Sugar Factory Film Studios is a state-of-the-art facility established to change the creative industry in Nigeria. It’s part of the projects to make Kwara a major hub for movie production in West Africa.
