The stage is officially set for grassroots football at its finest as the organizers of the 2026 AMAPRO Football Championship releases the highly anticipated draws and opening day fixtures today Friday July 3, 2026.

According to the official schedule, the tournament, which is now celebrating its prestigious 11th edition, is scheduled to kick off on Monday, July 6th, 2026.

Football fans in Ilorin and it’s environs are in for a massive treat as the elite tournament will take over the George Agbazika Innih Stadium Complex, promising a week of intense sporting drama.

To ensure a seamless flow of consecutive games, the organizers have designated two top-tier venues: the iconic Rashidi Yekini Main-Bowl and the Kwara Football Academy, KFA Pitch.

The battle lines are clearly drawn for the group stages, with four action-packed match slots scheduled daily at 8am, 10am, 2pm and 4pm to keep fans on the edge of their seats.

Defending champions, House of Prayers Football Academy, HOPFA are returning with a massive target on their backs as they look to protect their hard-earned crown.

They have been grouped with NA Royal FC, Dickalo FC and Cornerstone FC who will be making their first appearance at the championship.

In Group B, former champions, NPFL All Stars are to slug it out with Wabkem FC, Laycon FA and Araba Football Club.

Two time champions, Abraysport FC will battle for the top two spots with Gaa Akanbi FC, Ka’ah FC and Easy Nter GFC in Group C.

Group D has the last year’s runners up, Discovery Football Academy with Blinz FC, DollyP FC and HMK FC.

HOPFA will launch their title defense at exactly 8am at the Main-Bowl, against a fierce Cornerstone FC, a clash featured in the Group A configurations.

Meanwhile, last year’s heartbroken runners-up, Discovery Football Academy from Kebbi State, are back for sweet redemption after losing the previous final by a painful single goal.

They will begin their redemption arc at 2pm at the Main Bowl in a blockbuster opening match against Blinz FC.

With powerhouse teams like the NPFL All Stars slated to lock horns with Laycon FA later in the day at 4pm, the 2026 edition is already shaping up to be the most explosive chapter in AMAPRO Football Championship history.
