The leadership of the Kwara State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (Kwara SWAN) has felicitated the Executive Chairman of Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Magaji as he celebrated three years in Office.
Mallam Bolakale Magaji is the first Executive Chairman of Kwara State Sports Commission under the leadership of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as Governor of Kwara State.
In a release signed by its Chairman, Mallam Ayodeji Ismail, the body hailed the appointment of Magaji by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq three years ago.
The statement read, “Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State Chapter wants to congratulate you on your three years anniversary in office as the first Executive Chairman of Kwara State Sports Commission.
“Truth be told, you have achieved some great feats under your tenure with the state finishing record fifth position at the 2023 National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State. Your partnership with members of the Commission has yielded positive results”
”The various renovations completed and others presently ongoing across many sports facilities in Kwara State speaks volume of your drive and vision” for standard sports infrastructure in the state.
Members of the most vibrant sports writing body in Nigeria also congratulated the Kwara State Governor, His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for identifying excellence and rewarding result-oriented tenure with new responsibilities.
“It is not in doubt that under Magaji, grassroots sports in Kwara state got a fresh breath courtesy of the synergy between the Commission leadership and the Kwara state government.
“More grassroots events were held in many associations, talents discovered and groomed for national events such as the National Youth Games and National Sports Festival”.
The body is optimistic that the bond forged between the Kwara State government through the Kwara State Sports Commission and Kwara SWAN will continue to grow and result in a win-win situation for all Kwarans.
