Nineteen individuals and organisations have been listed for honours by Temitayo Femi Abolarin, who is the Africa/European Commissioner of International Sports Association (ISA) California, USA.
The Prestigious Award, according to him, is in recognization of their leadership excellence and contributions and outstanding impact towards the development of baseball and softball in the Africa Region.
“This esteemed award recognises the tireless efforts in promoting youth development, sports education, campaigns against social vices such as cultism, drugs and substance use through baseball and softball in Africa”, he explained.
15 individuals and four organisations were captured for the award, and they include Her Excellency, Mrs. Toyin Ojora Saraki, the President of Wellbeing Foundation Africa.
Others are Jason Cly, the President of the International Sports Association California USA, HiSPrint Ministries,
HoustonTexas, USA, Distinguished Senator Abdulfatai Omotayo Buhari,
who is representating Oyo North Senatorial District, and Professor Sulyman Age Abdulkareem, the 10th Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin.
Also listed are Professor Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, the 11th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Dr. Emmanuel Abraham,Founder,
Topfaith University, Akwa ibom State,
Desmond Relaford, Ex-Major League Player, United States of America, and Olamijuwonlo Alao Akala, Federal House of Representative member for Ogbomosho North/South.

International Sports Association Africa completes the list of individual nominations.
International Sports Association (ISA) California, USA, Abolarin added, has established thriving programs, fostering growth, inclusivity, and excellence in the sport.
Among tbe key achievements highlighted by him are the establishment of baseball and softball academies in several African countries, providing training and education to over 1000 youth, as well as the development partnerships with universities, colleges, state governments, NGOs, and corporations to support sports infrastructure development.
Also highlighted as achievements were the launching of initiatives for promoting women’s participation and empowerment through baseball and softball, and organizing international tournaments and clinics, showcasing African talent and promoting cultural exchange.
