Abdul Momoh praised for staging photography seminar, as over 50 bags award

FIFA and CAF Accredited Photo-Journalist, AbdulRahman Momoh has been praised for staging a photography Masterclass seminar, aimed at raising the bar in the imaging industry.

The one-day seminar, with the theme; ‘Stepping Up Photography’, which had both theory and practical sessions held at the Main-Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin on Tuesday December 17, 2024.

It was a new concept in photography, geared towards effective service delivery, which had four Resouce Persons giving insight into the world of photography, evolution and new trends and advancements, as well as technical methods.

In his first lecture, Owojaiye Olushola Oladapo of Sobi FM, Ilorin talked about elevating photography through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to produce an acceptable end product, and also using the right gadgets in taking shots.

A Lecturer at the International Institute of Journalism (IIJ) in Abuja, Abdullahi Abubakar discussed the common philosophies and innovative ideas in the industry, even as he talked about the business side of the art.

Award winning Photo-Journalist, Ademola Bamigbelu Origa, who also supervised the practical sessions discussed networking, anticipation and digitisation of photography, and analysing different mentalities in networking system.

Also, Adewumi David Tunde of Praise Photography lectured on timing, punctuality, dressing and neatness, all of which he said, adds credence to the job.

The session, which had photographers from all fields ended at Henry George Hotels, Ilorin, where the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji and over 50 others were honoured for their contributions to photography, humanity and development.

The President-General of Nigeria Professional Photographers/Videograpers Association (NPPVA), Gbemisoye Abiodun Alade and some notable photographers in the state were also honoured at the colourful gathering, where the Convener, AbdulRahman Momoh was highly praised, for the innovation.
