Aiteo Cup 2021: Kwara FA to host hitch-free quarter-final match

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has continue to reckoned with the unrelentless efforts of the Kwara State Football Association, having granted the Association the hosting rights of the 2021 Aiteo Cup quarter-final game scheduled for Friday 23.

Having started the knock-out stage of the competition in Ilorin in Round One, Bayelsa will return to the same venue to lock horns with Gateway United Football Club at the Kwara State Stadium with Kick-off Scheduled for 3:00pm.

The Malam Idris Musa Abdullahi led board successfully hosted two games in Round One (Bayelsa United vs NAF) & Delta Queens vs Kada Queens).

An additional two games involving Green Beret against Warri Wolves and Confluence Queens versus FC Robo was similarly held in Ilorin.

The latest fixture makes it a total of five knock-out games the FA will be hosting, which is reflection of it’s unique approaches in organising and staging football matches.
Chairman of the Association, Malam Musa said in a statement that he has no doubt that the quarter-final clash will be a spectacle.

“We are pleased the NFF announced our Stadium as one of the venues for the 2021 Aiteo Cup quarter-finals as this season’s competition has already proven to be thrilling and entertaining in Ilorin so far, and we expect much of the same “

“We would like to thank NFF and Aiteo for their continued support. We’d also like to thank the different stakeholders for their participation and co-operation as this shows that Kwara FA and Kwara State is recognized’, he concluded”.
