The Badagry Angels Baseball and Softball U-16 team has been encouraged to stay focused ahead of their training tour to Washington DC Baseball/Softball Academy and On Deck Batting Cages.
The team will play 3 to 4 games with comparable local teams when they eventually arrive in the United States next month.
The Proprietor and Executive Director of 5D Executive Guest Houses, 3 & 30 Tokyo Hills Drive, Ikota GRA Villa Estate Lekki Lagos State, Ohaegbulem Charles Abia, donated two million five hundred thousand naira (N2,500,000.00) to the team to boost their preparations towards the training tour.
He encouraged them to be disciplined when they get the unique opportunity to fly Nigeria’s colours.
Mr. Abia, who flew from the United States to attend the ceremony, commended the parents for their support, adding that the trip will open a new vista to develop their career.
He urged them to show love and ensure they prioritise education as the key to improving the talents God bestowed them with.
The coaching crew and parents of the players from all parts of Nigeria attended the colourful event at the prestigious Farms Embassy Hotel in the heart of Badagry.
They include (Coachimg Crew) Abdulrhaman Rasheedat, Hunvio Paul, (Parents) Mr. and Mrs. Jolaosho, Mrs. Audu, Mrs. Offeh, Mrs. Owie, and Mrs. Gbenupo, to mention a few.
Earlier in her speech, Mrs. AbdulRaman Rasheedat Bolanle, a former national softball player expressed her gratitude to the newly decorated patron, Mr. Ohaegbulem Charles Abia, for accepting their offer to become the Patron.
Former Mountain of Fire FC Team Manager, Geoffrey Aghogi, Engr. Jude Ezealaji, and Sportspro News Publisher, Bayour Issah advised the team to be good ambassadors.
