The President of Kwara based Football Academy, DollyP Sport Academy Limited, Ahmed Yusuf has said that his outfit will continue to create a pathway for the discovery of young talented foofballers fit for European football markets.

While briefing newsmen today, Tuesday February 27th, 2024 at Whitefield Hotel in Ilorin, Yusuf averred that his four years old Academy has a working and effective partnership with various European clubs, some of which has been to Ilorin to assess the Academy itself, and its products.

“We have been making progressive impacts through our Academy, and has continued to give back to the society through the discovery, training and giving hope to the young players through the ever-ready foreign football clubs and markets in Europe.

“In our recent programme, five players have been identified, and picked for possible signing. Asides developing the players, we also have mercenary in place for updating the knowledge of the coaches periodically.

While highlighting ways of discovering the players, which he says are in different age categories, Yusuf said that they introduce competitions in the nooks and crannies of the state.

“We organise competitions to discover players who have the potentials, and after been picked, we seek for the consent of their parents in moving to the next available step towards creating hope for the talents so discovered”, he added.

One of the representatives of the group of European clubs, Villasenor Lopez Israel, a Mexican, expressed delight with the partnership with DollyP Sport Academy Limited, adding that Nigeria has young, strong and talented footballers.

“Nigeria has strong players. Our major criteria in picking talents is the right mentality. They must be able to adapt to new world, and new future, which can only be guaranteed with strong mentality.

Shogo Shodunnke, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PhreeStyle Sport, and Brainbehind annual AmaPro Football Championship commended the partnership, which he described as empowerment for the youth.

“We are also collaborating with the initiative to promote the concept, which at the long run, will benefit the immediate community, Nigeria and indeed, Africa.
