The OFORDIS Foundation, in collaboration with the Kwara State Sports Commission, Teworh Rockstar Academy, and Classic Chops with Asnabel has announced the official launch of EmpowerHer Kitchen Skills for life and livelihood for Female Athletes with disabilities.

The three-day transformative programme is scheduled to take place from 13th to 15th August 2025 at the Kwara Football Academy Conference Hall, Ilorin.

The innovative initiative was aimed at empowering 15 female athletes with disabilities through intensive, hands-on training in small food businesses, entrepreneurship, branding, and business registration support.

EmpowerHer Kitchen is purposefully designed to boost self-confidence, economic independence, and post-sport career readiness.

“EmpowerHer Kitchen is not just about cooking.It’s about igniting dreams, innovating opportunities, and connecting our female athletes with a brighter future beyond the sports field,” says Sarafadeen Olalekan Oyeleke, Founder and Executive Director of OFORDIS Foundation.

The event will feature: practical culinary and small food enterprise sessions, mentorship and branding workshops, and registration of two participant-led businesses with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), powered by Makam Global Resources.

In a strong demonstration of solidarity and social inclusion, all 15 female participants are fully sponsored by the Kind Humanitarian Initiative.
