The Organisers of the U-14 Table Tennis Championship in honour of the First Lady, Her Excellency Ambassador Professor Olufolake AbdulRazaq, has extend heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his unflinching support towards grassroots sports development in the state.
The 6th edition of the competition, being organised by Grassroots Sports Association, was concluded at the Ludlow Hall of Offa Grammar School, last week Thursday, and the Coordinator, Prince Dare Adebayo Omowumi described it as a worthwhile experience.
“We sincerely thank Your Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for always standing by sports development in our dear state. Your encouragement has given us the strength to continue discovering and nurturing young talents.
“We express our profound gratitude to the First Lady, whose inspiring leadership, passion for youth empowerment, and commitment to talent discovery remain a source of motivation for initiatives such as this championship.
“Special recognition goes to the sponsor of this edition, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Sulaiman Olatunji Omintuntun and the good people of Offa Local Government, for their generous support and dedication to advancing sports at the community level.
“Your collective contributions have not only ensured the success of this tournament but have also provided a platform for our young athletes to nurture their talents, embrace discipline, and strive for excellence.
“From the depth of our hearts, we say thank you. Together, you have helped us lay the foundation for future champions.

Prince Omowumi equally commended the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Abubakar Abdullahi Bàtà, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Iyabo Modupe Adekeye, the Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Abdullahi Abubakar Danladi, who is the Executive Chairman of Kaiama Local Government Area and all the Chairmen of the 16 Local Government Areas, the Sports Officers and athletes, for their support.
