ABS Ilorin FC red-hot striker, Jamiu Sa’ad, says he is determined to score more goals and help the club secure promotion back to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Sa’ad has been in exceptional form this season, netting four goals in four matches, a run that has earned him two Man of the Match awards and the ABS Player of the Month for November. His sharpness in front of goal has made him one of the most lethal forwards in the league.
Speaking to the club media ahead of Thursday’s NNL Matchday Five encounter against City FC of Abuja at the FIFA Goal Project, the forward reiterated his hunger for more goals.
“I’m grateful for the goals so far, but I want to score more. My focus is to stay consistent and keep delivering for the team every game”, Sa’ad said.
Beyond personal achievements, Sa’ad emphasized that his biggest motivation is helping ABS secure a long-awaited return to the NPFL.
“Our main target this season is to promote to the NPFL. That is the dream for everyone at the club, and I’m ready to give everything to help us achieve it.”
The striker admitted he has his eyes on the golden boot but stressed that team success remains his top priority.
“Every striker wants the golden boot, and I’m working towards it. But what matters most is seeing ABS back in the NPFL. If I keep scoring and the team keeps winning, then it’s a win-win for all of us.”
Looking ahead to the clash with City FC, Sa’ad acknowledged the challenge but expressed confidence in ABS Ilorin FC’s readiness.
“City FC are strong at home, but we are ready for the battle. I hope to continue my form and help us get a positive result in Abuja.”
ABS Ilorin FC will rely heavily on Sa’ad’s firepower as they push for maximum points and strengthen their promotion charge.
