Inner Caucus of Football Legends marks year end with seminar, memorial match, and award night

The Inner Caucus of Football Legends will this weekend spice its annual end-of-the-year activities with a seminar, a memorial football match, and awards of excellence, the first of its kind in its history.

According to the activities rolled out by the Organizing Committee, the annual program will be organised to foster fellowship among football professionals, promote youth engagement through sports, and honour the contributions of late members who helped shape football development in our community.

The program is scheduled to be held from Friday, December 19th, to Saturday, December 20th, 2025.

The activities will begin with a business session on Friday, 19th December 2025, with a press conference at the SWAN Taiwo Awoniyi Press Centre and a seminar on football development, youth empowerment, and sports business.

The Memorial Match and End-of-Year Party holds on Saturday, 20th December 2025. The friendly memorial football match in honour of the departed members will be between the Inner Caucus of Football Legends and Igbo All Stars, beginning at 9.00 am at the Kwara Stadium Complex.

The award night and party holds in the evening at FemKem Hotel, Iloffa Road, GRA, Ilorin, where selected personalities will be decorated with awards.

Among the awardees are the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bola Magaji; the Chairman of Kwara United, Kumbi Titiloye (Outstanding Football Administrator); the Chairman of Kwara FA, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa Thuraya (Football Governance Icon); Ace Sportscaster Bayour Issah (Excellence in Sports Journalism); Mr. Hameed Idris SMO (Exceptional Leadership); and Engr. Akinloye Salam (Outstanding Social Responsibility), Engr. Gabriel Olaifa (Leadership Role Model) and Mrs. Bolanle Aleshinloye (Community Impact Excellence).

Others are Engr. Musa Isiaka (Empathy Leadership), Coach Toyin Ayinla (Outstanding Contributions to Nigerian Football), Coach Amusa Adisa (Evergreen Legend), Margaret Emike Bonsra (Customer Empathy and Social Engagement), Engr. Adebayo Fasakin (Humanitarian Service), Mr. Joseph Oshoke Bassey (Social Harmony and Cultural Integration), Engr. Emmanuel Audu (Empathy and Social Engagement) and Comrade Oyinlade Seun Adeleye, NULGE President, Kwara State.

The Inner Caucus of Football Legends is made up of seasoned football minds and passionate elders, creating a network that can influence football administration and policy, especially in welfare and developmental areas.
