Kabir Balogun charges teammates, as Kwara United hosts Bendel Insurance

Kwara United Football Club stand-in Captain, Kabir Balogun has charged his teammates to re-double their efforts and remain focused, as the team hosts Bendel Insurance FC of Benin, in a Matchday Three of the NPFL on Sunday in Ibadan.

The match will hold at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, the adopted home of the Ilorin based team in the ongoing 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Kwara United drew its first two games against Gombe United and Shooting Stars Sports Club at the venue, to record two points so far, and scoring no goal, and conceeding none.

And according to the utility player, Kwara United needs to break the goal scoring jinx against Bendel Insurance, and also win their first match on Sunday, to underscore their determination of finishing in good position at the end of the season.

“I know we can do it, but we must consider the fact that we are playing a team that has recorded a 100 percent performance so far, and that’s why we must be at our best on Sunday.

Kabir said that the target was to surpass the records set last season, and if new records would be set, the team must start scoring goals, and also winning matches, expressing optimism that that will start on Sunday against Premier League new entrants, Bendel Insurance FC of Benin.

He commended the management for prioritising the welfare of the players, adding that the measure will sustain the positive mentality in the camp of the team.
