Kwara claims two gold medals as JGM squash tourney ends

It was another glorious outing for Kwara state Sports Commission whose players returned from the just concluded JGM National U-16 and U-19 squash tournament held in Ibadan with two gold medals in their kitty.

Khadijat Durosinlorun and Shuaib Giwa dished out scintillating performances to clinch the U-19 Girls and U-16 Boys gold medals at the tournament which attracted players across the country.

The Kwara players left no one in doubt from the beginning of tournament with their classical displays that they were in the tournament for the ultimate prizes.

Khadija Durosinlorun wasted no time to sent off Jadesola Olatunji, her rivals from Lagos in three straight sets to lift the Girls U-19 title.

In a like manner, Shuaib Giwa proved his dominance in the Boys U-16 category as he dusted Mathew Yusuf of Lagos state 3- 1 to clinch the gold medal.

Also in the Boys U-19 category, Promise James of Plateau state, who has been proving himself as one of the best in the category swooped the gold medal after showing superiority over Dominion Utukpe of Lagos state.
