Kwara DoS praises Elerin, Moje QueensThe Director of Sports, Kwara State Sports Council, Mallam Alarape Ibrahim Atanda has commended the Elerin of Erin-Ile, Oba AbdulGaniyu Ibrahim Olusookun II, for his support of the development of girl-child, especially through sports.
Mallam Atanda, while receiving the management and coaches of Moje Queens, who paid him a courtesy call in his office on Tuesday, also commended the management and coaches of Moje Queens Football Club of Erin-Ile, for doing the state proud in various competitions they have played.
According to him, he doesn’t expect less from the team, considering the commitment of the Royal Father, and the management which he says, are drawing from the experience of the Kwara state Chairman of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) Mr. Ademola Kiyesola.
While relaying the club’s message, Mr. Kiyesola, who is the Vice Chairman of the Club, noted that the club will continue to do the state and the founding fathers proud.
He said the club has grown to be a total development and empowerment platform for the girl-child.
He gave a brief explanation on how the club has been operating and the successes it has recorded in recent times, while calling on the Sports Council to assist in exploring support from the government and other possible channels.
The courtesy call was held in full compliance of COVID-19 precautionary measures.
