The Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa, popularly known as Thuraya as called out Olayinka Fafoluyi to always react to issues he knows about, and not beat around the bush, especially in appreciation of the personality and government he is representing.
Olayinka Fafoluyi, also known as Solace is the SSA New Media to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who is the Chairman of the Governors’ Forum in Nigeria.
According to Thuraya, as the SSA to Governor AbdulRazaq, his actions and reactions to issues should be about maturity and understanding, a reflection of the characteristics of the government that employs him, instead of abusing people on Social Media, especially on issues he is absolutely ignorant about.
“For Solace to come out and refer to me as an opposition is laughable. This means that the Governor’s aide might simply not understand the implications of what he puts on social media platforms.
“We do things because of the integrity of the state. I won’t blame Solace, because I don’t even know him. We only know the Chief Press Secretary, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaiye. Solace, I was made to understand, is representing an unguided and unstructured aspect of journalism, the Social Media.
“As the Chairman of Kwara FA, and considering that this is a state that has numerous football potentials and a certain Kwara Football Academy, so, we should keep quiet despite being denied the opportunity to play in the National Youth Games for.the third term running? Is that it?
“And that’s why he goes on Social Media to abuse people in the name of justifying that act that belittles the pedigree of the state in football development.
“I am surprised that Solace said I am an opposition because of trying to correct what is wrong. That’s funny. I am a foundation member of All Peples Congress (APC). I was a card carrying member of All Nigeria Peoples Congress (ANPP), and the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC).
“Moreover, my office is not a political office. I am the Chairman of Kwara FA. We are involved with only football. We are affiliated to Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), and by extension, CAF and FIFA.
He knows nothing about governance. Solace is not in government, he is only appointed to fill in the gap. He need to always verify facts before talking. We are from this state. We are not strangers.
“He also talks about my achievements. They are there for everyone to see, especiallythose following the game of football. Even the Governor supported the FA with as much as N6million when we are putting the FA Secretariat together. If I didn’t perform, I wouldn’t have won the second term bid.
