Kwara Falcons begin chase for BAL ticket against Customs

Three times Atlantic Conference Champions, Kwara Falcons Basketball Club landed in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja yesterday, ahead of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) Men’s Premier League Final Eight tipping off today.

The team arrived with 12 players and five officials for the final stretch of the league which will see the winner claiming the sole ticket to represent Nigeria at the next edition of the Basketball Africa League.

Falcons have drawn  Savannah Conference Champions, Kano Pillars together with Islanders of Lagos and Customs in  Group B.

According to the Club Media Representative, Bolaji Lawal, confirmed that the Coach Baba Jubril side will engage Nigeria Customs by 12:00pm today, followed with games against Islanders and Kano Pillars respectively, where the top two will advance to the semi-finals.

The team missed the chance to pick the 2020 BAL ticket having lost to Rivers Hoopers at the semi-final stage of the President Cup in Lagos and finished with a 7-1 record during the 2021 regular season in Akure.
