Group A comprises Delta Babes, DreamStar Ladies FC, Rosaria Victrix FC and First Mahi Babes, while Group B features Pelican Stars, Gallant Queens, Ikukuoma and Moje Queens. Group C consists of Rangers Women FC, Fortress Ladies FC, Wazbak International Sports Academy and Unification FC.

Reacting to the draw, Chairman of Kwara Ladies FC, Mallam Mohammed Jimoh Daudu, expressed optimism about the team’s chances of securing promotion but stressed that financial support remains critical to the club’s participation and success at the championship.

“We need people to assist the club to be able to be in Calabar to participate in the championship, which will serve as qualifiers for the Nigeria Women Football League apex system,” Daudu said.

He noted that the club has continued to complement government efforts in sports development by providing opportunities for young girls to pursue football careers while also promoting social development and empowerment through sports.

“We call on well-meaning Kwarans, both at home and abroad, to assist our cause of complementing the efforts of the government in sports development, and also empowering and keeping the girl-child meaningfully busy,” he added.

Daudu explained that adequate funding would help the team cover transportation, accommodation, feeding, training logistics and other operational expenses associated with participating in a national championship of such magnitude.

The club Chairman further appealed to corporate organizations, philanthropists, political office holders, sports enthusiasts and lovers of women’s football to rally round the team as it seeks to make Kwara State proud on the national stage.
