The fourth edition of the Kwara Schools Football Challenge (KSFC) has been scheduled to hold between May 19th through to May 27th at the Kwara Football Academy.
KSFC, an initiative of the Kwara Football Academy (KFA), Ilorin represent the thrust of the football institution towards talents discovery and development.
Speaking at the draws ceremony of the tournament which held at the Conference Room of the KFA on Friday, Mallam Kehinde Jimoh, the Administrator of the Academy revealed that the football fiesta which will involve 16 school across Kwara State is aimed at sustaining the standard of the Academy as a hub of football talents.
In his own remarks, the Technical Director of KFA and ex- international, Sam Elijah said KSFC, which will also in its traditional way, include football quiz among all the participating teams, will witness a high level of organization in line with international best practices.
While the host, KFA Secondary School will be taking up Government High School, Ilorin in the opening match, a match pass that will involve all the participating schools has also been billed to take place as a prelude to the opener.
The football quiz event with all the schools already paired will take place at the Dinner Room of KFA on 26th of May,2021.
Elder Kayode Alabi, the Deputy Governor of Kwara State is expected to lead other dignitaries to the opening and closing ceremony of the tournament.
Guests at the event includes the Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association, represented by the Secretary; Mallam Kashim Agaka, Nigeria Football Coaches Association, (NFCA) Kwara State chapter Chairman; Tunde Sanni, Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) Kwara State chapter Chairman, Ademola Kiyesola and YSFON Secretary, Ayinde Wahab.
Others include Alhaji Ahmed Abdullah, YSFON National Officer, Bayour Issah; CEO Sportspro News, Mr Fatai Ayinla; Principal Kwara Football Academy (KFA) Secondary School, Mr Jimoh Tunde Olaitan; Chief Accountant KFA, Shogo Shodunke, CEO Phreestyle Sports and host of others.
