After grounding out a one-al draw against visiting Rangers International on Sunday, Kwara United Football Club resumes today, Tuesday October 24, 2023, to begin preparations for the trip to Yenagoa, for the Matchday Five encounter with Bayelsa United FC.

The team will use the resumption this evening to finetune strategies, as they take on Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club of Ilorin at the Main-Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex, in a friendly match, beginning from 3.00pm.

According to Coach Kabir Sulaiman Dogo, he said that the friendly match was planned to put some players in competitive shape and mood ahead of the Bayelsa United engagement this weekend.

Kwara United has so far played two matches away from home, losing by a lone goal to Katsina United in the opening day of the 2023-2024 NPFL season, and playing a goalless draw against Rivers United.

The match against Bayelsa United will therefore, be much more crucial to Kwara United, obviously owing to the points lost at home to Rangers International.

Kwara United defeated Abia Warriors 1-0 in Ilorin in Matchday Two encounter, being the only maximum point they have won in the series.

After the friendly match with ABS FC today, the team is expected to intensify preparations ahead of the journey for Bayelsa United match, with Coach Dogo expected to ring some changes in the next line up.

Kwara United now has five points from four matches.
