Kwara United hosts wounded Niger Tornadoes in a must-win Matchday 14 encounter

Kwara United Football Club will tomorrow, Sunday December 18, 2023 file out against Niger Tornadoes in their 7th home game in the ongoing 2023-2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), in a must-win encounter.

The team drew their last home game against Doma United, and also went away to Ikenne, lost 2-0 to Remo Stars, putting the team’s chances on a tight rope.

Hosting Niger Tornadoes which lost its last home game in Kaduna to Plateau United means that Kwara United have much to chew on Sunday afternoon, against the wounded North Central rivals.

With target ambition to catch up with this season, Coach Kabir Sulaiman Dogo has a huge task ahead in the season, beginning with a crucial game tomorrow with Ikon Allah Boys, who would be seeking a redemption path.

Kwara United will have huge home support to bank on, coupled with enough motivation by the management team of the club, being led by Kumbi Titiloye.

Kwara United currently places 12th on the league table, with 15 points, a summation of their three victories and six draws so far in the 13 weeks old apex league.

Coach Kabir Sulaiman Dogo is still missing the services of club’s highest goal scorer, Alao Mohammed, but have reliable replacements in Shola AbdulRaheem, Ovoke Bernard and ThankGod Ikeagwu who will provide support from the.midfield for the strikers, against the Ikon Allah Boys.

The search for goals will be spareheaded by Sadeeq Yusuf, with support from Samuel Ayanrinde and Emmanuel Ogbole, while Ejeh Isaiah will lead others to provide the required cover for goalkeeper Adewale Adeyinka, who will be expecting the right birthday present from his mates.
