Kwara United Football Club has congratulated His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, on the celebration of 28 years on the throne.
The Emir of Ilorin, who is the Chairman of Kwara State Traditional Council, is the 11th Emir of Ilorin. He ascended to the throne in 1995.
In a release by the Media Officer of Kwara United Football Club, Jimoh Bashir, and signed by the Chairman of the Club, Kumbi Titiloye, he described the Emir as a bridge builder, and great lover of sports, especially, football.
“We at Kwara United celebrate Your Majesty, the Emir of Ilorin, our Grand Patron, as you celebrate the 28th anniversary of your ascension to the throne as the 11th Emir of Ilorin.
The Emir, who was former Board member of the Nigeria Football Association, now Nigeria Football Federation, is the Grand Patron of Kwara United.
“We join the good people of Kwara State, especially of the Ilorin Emirate and supporters of Kwara United to celebrate the lover of peace, culture and tradition, promoter of unity and a great father, who has impacted tremendously in the state and Nigeria as a whole.
“Your support to the club, our club, Kwara United has continued to uplift our status, season after season, and the blessings of Your Majesty has been our motivation.
The club prayed Almighty Allah to give the Emir more fruitful years on earth in good health, wisdom and knowledge.
