La Planet Sport Academia celebrates Sulaiman, Alonge on winning WAFU B trophy with Flying Eagles

La Planet Sports Academia has felicitated with two of its graduates, Sulaiman Alabi Jojo and Ibrahim Olalekan-Alonge, on winning the WAFU-B title with the Flying Eagles of Nigeria.

The Flying Eagles defeated their Ghanaian counterpart 2-1 on Wednesday night to retain the WAFU B trophy.

The club also congratulated one of Flying Eagles Assistant Coaches, Lukman Ijaiya who had previously worked with La Planet on the achievement.

Both Jojo and Olalekan, who made significant contributions to the Flying Eagles’ success grew through the ranks of the La Planet Sport Academia before moving on to their new sides.

Sulaiman Alabi is currently making waves with Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, where he secured an NPFL promotion ticket and won the President Federation Cup with the team.

Olalekan Alonge, who was part of the Flying Eagles to the last African Youth Games in Ghana is currently plying his trade with Central Football Academy in Abuja.

While reacting to the development, the Director of Scouting of the Academy, Suleiman Abdullahi (Agali) said the achievement is a manifestation of the efficient scouting system of the Academy, which will be further strengthened.

The Director of Football of La Planet, Mallick Olasunkanmi also stated that it’s a proud moment for the Academy to see its graduates excelling.

He said “This is a proud moment for us all and we are delighted to see our products achieving this feat. We wish them well in their future outings.
