Members of the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA), handling matches in the various leagues have been told to lift the image of the Association with fair and firm officiating.
This came from the President, Otunba Tade Azeez, who disclosed that the NRA is not in the mood to hear and observe negative development in any of the league centers.
He said that rather what is expected is good decisions and game management that will make the NRA proud.
While praying for the safe journey and good luck to all match Officials, he requested them to always abide by Covid 19 protocols for safety purposes.
In Jos where Plateau hosts Rangers, a seasoned referee of the Kano Council, Habib Ghali will control proceedings from the centre assisted by Hassan Dauda and Ojo Ayinde of the Yobe and Lagos councils respectively while a retired FIFA referee, S. T Ayeni is the Assessor.
A household name in the refereeing family, Sir Victor Ijeremen, of the FCT council, who retired to become an Assessor after several years as premier league referee, will have his jotter nearby to take notes of the performances of the officials led by Datom Yohanna of Plateau Council in the Rivers vs Sunshine Yusuf Ibrahim of Kano and Abia’s Ihenacho Chukwuemeka are on the lines.
