Ahead of the September 30th Elective Congress of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Chairman Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa has received the approval of his Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq to contest for an executive seat.
Malam Musa was ceremoniously endorsed during Kwara United Football Club Supporters programme, held at the Indoor Sports Hall of the State Stadium over the weekend by Governor AbdulRazaq, who affirmed the time has come for Kwara to have vibrant leaders in key decision makings on the board of the NFF.
“The time has come for our state to have a board member on the executive position of the NFF, which we last had over twenty years back during Elder Ayo Bello’s stint”.
“I strongly believe this will further add clarity and purpose to football in our dear state and to this end, I have endorse and will support Malam Musa”, he said.
Thuraya, as the Chairman is fondly called, commended the Governor’s exemplary and resourceful leadership, while using the medium to inform and appeal to Congress and Board members, stakeholders and all football enthusiasts to galvanize support and work harmoniously for the best interest of the game and the state.
