Victor Osimhen has rejected approaches from Premier League clubs Liverpool and Manchester United, as he hopes to complete a move to Napoli this weekend.

Osimhen’s representatives and Napoli officials negotiated throughout Friday to try and find an agreement to close the transfer but failed to reach a common ground.

The 21-year–old’s decision to change agent to William D’Avila remains the principal issue that needs resolving as his former representative, Jean-Gérard Benoit Czajka, is threatening all relevant parties with legal action, incensed by the idea that he and his associates could miss out on remuneration for years of work behind getting Osimhen to the position that he is now in.

Liverpool and Manchester United made fresh approaches for Osimhen on Friday, which was rebuffed by the striker.

The former VFL Wolfsburg player, according to L’Équipe does not want to go back in his descion to join Napoli.

Osimhen wants the transfer resolved as quickly as possible so that he can take a few days worth of holiday in Nigeria.

Lille are however not willing to reduce their €81m asking price for the Nigerian.
