Senator Ahmed Ahmed has described the recent football development in Kwara state as a true reflection of the football culture in the state.
On Tuesday Afternoon, during a meeting with the members of the Kwara State Football Association, led by it’s Chairman, Malam Idris Abdullahi Musa, the lawmaker, who represented Kwara North senatorial district from 2003 to 2011 commended the FA for it’s remarkable achievements, and noted his contributions to the round leather game which included visits to major football championship across Africa.
A former Vice-Chairman of the FA to the Alhaji Moshood Jaji board expressed his happiness in Kwara United’s performance in the last Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, while reaffirming his commitments to providing support when called upon.
In his remark, the Chairman of the Kwara FA, Malam Idris Abdullahi Musa briefed the one-time Vice-Chairman of Football Supporters Club on his board’s numerous projects over the years.
He confirmed that his board will induct Senator Ahmed Ahmed to the Elders and Advisory Committee of the FA, and appreciated his elderly advice which has been instrumental to the FA Project.
Malam Idris thereafter, presented the FA sport kits branded by Owu to the former Senator.
Other FA members who witnessed the occassion includes Alhaji Adeshina Bello, Chairman Asa Football Council, Coach Tunde Sanni, Chairman Ilorin South Football Council, Hajia Segilola Alaya, Chairperson, Female Football Development Committee, Kashim Agaka, FA Secretary and the Head of Media and Publicity, Bolaji Lawal.
