The Senior Project Engineer of Lodoni Company Nigeria Limited, Dr Abdullahi Abdulkadri has assured that despite the setback posed by the nature of the soil at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, the ongoing construction of the Eight Glass Back Squash Court will be delivered well on time.

The project started in December, and the Company has just four months to complete the project.

It would be recalled that the squash courts are some of the new additions to the facilities at the complex approved by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, asides renovation of the existing ones.

Speaking with newsmen at the project site on Wednesday, Dr. Abdullahi said that the company has devised a strategy that will cover up for the time lost, even as he added that the company will employ professionalism that its known for, to deliver a standard and sustainable job.

‘One of the things we observed on getting to site that gave us setback was the nature of the soil, and we had to do an investigation into the soil, to see the properties’, he said.

“We observed that we needed to go deeper than the initial specifications in the drawings, as the whole place was waterlogged. We had to put measures in place to ensure it doesn’t affect the structure’

‘All that had been taken care of, because we had to raise the level to about 1.8 metrea, go deeper into the soil, and that’s why we are at this stage so far’

‘Talking about that affecting the date of delivery, it all depends on our ability to compress time, as we understand the importance of the delivery date. We are bringing in strategy to compress time, by working sometimes at night, but even at that, we can’t compromise standard’

‘We hope to deliver, at the end of the four months, usable, standard and appealing structure;, he added.
