SWAN congratulates Ambassador, Hameed Adio on appointment as Kwara TV Board Chairman

The Kwara State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has congratulated its Ambassador, Hameed Adio, on his appointment as the Board Chairman of Kwara State Television. 


SWAN equally commended the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for appointing an experienced personality and a Great Ambassador of the sports writing body in the state to head the Board of the television station.

Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Friday appointed a seven-person board for the Kwara State Television, with veteran sports broadcaster Hameed Adio as Chairman.  


Other members of the Board are Ahmed Abdulateef Alaiye; Mrs Tina Olaoye; Alhaji Kawu Shuaibu; Dada Tale Elizabeth; Hajia Nimota Folake Shittu; and Ibrahim N. Fatimah.  


SWAN, in a release signed by its Secretary, Olayinka Owolewa felicitated with the Olympian, describing his appointment as well deserving, considering his exploits in the broadcasting industry.

The former Chairman of SWAN in the state was a great athlete and Olympian, and rose to become the Director of Sports, and also the Commissioner in the state.

Hameed Adio retired as the General Manager, Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Abuja, after years of meritorious service.

The release charged Hameed Adio to bring his experience to bear, and to justify the confidence reposed in him by the Governor.

SWAN prayed God to grant Hameed Adio and other members of the board a successful and fruitful tenure.
