The 40th edition of the ongoing 40th Ramat Cup International enters semi-final, as Benue stopped host Nasarawa from crossing the hurdle to be among the last four.
The race for glory in the competition was today, narrowed to four teams following action-packed quarter-final matches which saw the best of youth football in display.
Kwara booked their semi-final ticket after surviving a tense penalty shootout against Gombe, with the match ending 2–2 in regulation time. The Harmony Boys triumphed 6–5 on penalties.
Benue edged past hosts Nasarawa 1–0, while Kaduna demolished Bauchi 5–0 in a commanding display. In the last quarter-final game, Enugu outclassed Ondo 3–0 to complete the last-four lineup.
With the results, Kwara will face Kaduna at 8:00am on Friday, August 15, in the first semi-final, while Benue will take on Enugu at 9:15am in the other semi-final, as the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria YSFON organised competition edges closer to the grand finale.
