APC Senatorial candidate, Mallam Soliu Mustapha motivates Kwara United against MFM FC

The Kwara Central Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming 2023 General Elections, Mallam Soliu Mustapha has offered to buy three thousand match tickets for fans, for the last home game of Kwara United FC in the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), against MFM FC, on Sunday.
He also pledged to pay bonus to the players should they beat MFM FC.
Kwara United FC will take the centre stage against the already relegated Lagos-based team in the Matchday 37 of the NPFL at the Main-Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin on the second day of Ileya, which is Sunday.
It would be the club’s last home game for the season.
The team is currently fourth on the table with 55 points from 36 matches, and a strong prospect of picking one of the continental slots at the end of the last match against Heartland FC in Owerri next weekend.
A win against MFM in Ilorin is crucial to the continental aspirations of the club, and the Turaki of Ilorin, Mallam Soliu Mustapha believed that having more fans at the stands will be an added motivation for the players, as they will ginger them to victory.
The Club Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, who confirmed the development, commended the state Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his overwhelming support to the team.
He also thanked the Senatorial candidate of the APC, Mallam Soliu Mustapha for identifying with the club, and also complementing the efforts of the state government on the team.
Titiloye used the opportunity to thank the Executive Chairman of the State Sports Commission, Mallam Bola Mogaji, his Board members, the State FA and other stakeholders for their support to the team.
He praised the players and officials for their sacrifice and resilience.
Kwara United FC lost last season’s continental cut to Boardroom decisions.
