Beat Bloemfontein Celtic in Port Novo, get N1 million – Bro. Felix Obuah

Players of Nigeria’s representative in the CAF Confederation Cup, Rivers United will receive a minimum One Million Naira (N1,000,000) if they win against Bloemfontein Celtic in Saturday’s CAF Confederation Cup first round second leg tie in Port Novo, Benin Republic.

The Nigerian business magnate, politician and philanthropist Bro. Felix Obuah in a statement in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, promised to pay Rivers United One Million Naira (N1,000,000) for a win and another Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N200,000) for each goal they score against the Siwelele.

You will recall that Bro Felix Obuah had promised players of Rivers United Two Million Naira (N2,000,000) for a win, One Million Naira (N1,000,000) for a draw and another Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N200,000) for each goal they score against the Siwelele in the first leg which the “Pride of Rivers” earned for themselves Two Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira for their 2-0 win in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

General Manager of Rivers United Chief Dr Okey Kpalukwu in his response thanked Bro Felix Obuah for his magnanimity and huge support to the team and promised the team will not disappoint come Saturday.

“We appreciate you Sir for this motivational support to the team. We will do our best to score goals and win for you, our sponsors, the Supporters and the Nation at large. We will not disappoint you by God’s grace”.

Rivers United will play Bloemfontein Celtic in the CAF Confederation Cup first round second leg on Saturday at the Charles De Gaulles Stadium in Port Novo, Benin Republic. Kick-off time is 4pm.

Meanwhile, Rivers United football club of Nigeria have arrived Port-Novo Benin Republic ahead of their Total CAF Confederation Cup first round second leg clash against Bloemfontein Celtic of South Africa.

The two sides were due to play on Wednesday, 6th January 2021 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State but the game was postponed following Bloemfontein Celtic inability to meet Nigeria’s strict Covid-19 stands on travelers coming in from South Africa.

Rivers United on Thursday, arrived Port-Novo where the game will be played and almost immediately headed to have a light training session at the Charles de Gaulle Stadium.

Ahead of the game, Rivers United’s boss Stanley Eguma has revealed that the level of cooperation within the team is high and that his team knows how important winning this tie is
