BFN, CSED to hold badminton train the trainers course in Ilorin

Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN), in conjunction with Community Sport Educational Development (CSED) Initiative, is organising a two day ‘Shuttle Time Teachers Course’ in Ilorin, Kwara state. 

The Train-the-Trainer Project, fixed for 4th and 5th of July, 2023, at the Indoor Sports Hall of Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin, will come up between 10am and 4.00pm daily.

The training will have twenty five (25) Schools Teachers (Games Masters/Mistresses) and one hundred (100) students from the state.

The programme is a Badminton World Federation (BWF) initiative to take badminton to the grassroots in order to discover and develop hidden talents which abound in schools.

At the end of the two days course, certificates would be awarded to the participants by BWF and one hundred (100) rackets, 25 tubes of shuttle corks and 25 nets would be given to the schools involved in the program. 

This is to enable, and as well, empower them for the take-off of  the game of the game of badminton in the schools.

Among the 25 schools selected for the programme are JSS  CAIS, JSS Odo-Okun, JSS QEC, GGDJSS Oko-Erin, JSS AUD, Baboko Community JSS, GDJSS Adewole, JSS St. James, Bishop Smith JSS, GSS Okelele, GDSS Ita-Alamu, CSS Madi, GGDSS Pakata, GDSS Alore, CSS Anifowose and GDSS Oke-Aluko.

Others are JSS Lasoju, JSS Ogbondoroko, GDSS Taoheed, GSS Afon, Sapati, Yuslat College, Model COED, Unilorin Secondary School, Ilorin and Flora group of schools, Ilorin.
