CAFCC: Kwara FA boss, Thuraya motivates United players after RS Berkane victory

The Chairman of Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa has praised the state’s darling team for rising up to the occasion despite conceeding the opening goal against RS Berkane in the First Leg, First Round match this evening.

Kwara United FC defeated the Berkane based side 3-1 in the highly explosive match at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, after surviving an early scare.

Second half goals from Ahmed Taofeek, Wasiu Jimoh and Daniel Bernabas ensured Kwara United ca.e back, and came back convincingly, earning a 3-1 win, ahead of the second leg in Berkane, Morocco.

Whe reacting to the win, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa, who motivated the players financially for the win, said that the performance was unprecedented, especially playing against the champions of Africa.

Mallam Idris, popularity known as Thuraya commended the players for doing the state and country proud, even as he reminded them that its not yet uhuru, as there is still a crucial 90 minutes to play in the Round.

He praised the government, the Sports Commission as well as the management of the team for putting the ayers in the right frame of mind for the match, urging them to fully motivate the players for the Berkane challenge.

Kwara United will take on RS Berkane in thebreturn leg on Saturday October 14th, in Berkane, Morocco, with the winner over the two legs qualifying for the Group stage of the second-tier inter-club competition in Africa.
