Coach Ashifat Sulaiman, popularly known as Brazil, today, Wednesday, October 22, 2025, signed a contract with Kwara United Football Club as the new Technical Adviser, replacing Coach Tunde Sanni, who was asked to step aside two weeks ago.
The contract, signed at the secretariat of the club, will be until the end of the current season, with the option of extension hinged on performance.
While supervising the contract signing ceremony, the General Manager of the Club, Bashir Badawiy, who represented the Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, commended the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Sports Commission, and the stakeholders, for their support for the team.
He said that Kwara United had to begin another journey with Coach Ashifat Sulaiman, whom he described as a trusted coach, in a bid to further raise the profile of the team, and sustain professionalism
“We want to begin a new journey with a trusted coach, Ashifat Sulaiman, because we want the team to continue to grow and succeed. The contract will run until the end of the season, with the option of extension based primarily on performance”, he said.
Coach Ashifat, who was a former player and captain of the club, is coming back for the second time as the head coach, having served as assistant coach on a few occasions too.

While reacting after signing the dotted lines, Coach Ashifat said that coaching Kwara United to success is a surmountable task, even as he called for the continuous support of all.
He added that the target was to win the league and also defend the President Federation Cup the team won last season.
“Our target is to win the league, and also defend the President Federation Cup title we won last season. We have the players to achieve that. My coaching philosophy is possessive football and creativity. We believe in our supporters and fans to assist us in achieving this,” he said.
Kwara United’s next Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match will be against Rangers International in Enugu.
